Delete your mint account
Last updated: 21 October 2026
You can ask us to delete your mint account and the data linked to it at any time. This page explains how, and what happens next.
How to request deletion
- Send an email to rehaan.tariq@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my mint account".
- In the email include the phone number you sign in with and, if you like, your name. This is how we find and verify your account. We may reply with a question to confirm it is really you.
- We delete the account and tell you when it is done, normally within 30 days.
What is deleted
- your profile (name and photo) and your sign-in;
- your memberships of businesses and branches, and your push-notification tokens and notification settings;
- your support conversations; and
- any business where you are the only Owner, together with its branches, products, stock, invoices, expenses, customers, packages and subscriptions, and its public page. Because this cannot be undone, we will confirm with you first.
What may be kept
- Records we must keep for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons, and only for as long as required.
- Short-lived backups, which are overwritten automatically within about 90 days.
- Information that belongs to other businesses, such as invoices a business issued to you as its customer. That business is responsible for those records.
Before you ask
Have a paid plan? Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through Apple or Google. Cancel it first in your Apple ID (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) or in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions), otherwise the store keeps charging you.
Running a business with other people? If you are an Owner, you can transfer the business first by adding another Owner or Sub-Owner, or ask us to delete just one business without deleting your account. Staff members can simply be removed from a business by an Owner or Manager.
